What Justworks costs — the one big PEO that publishes its prices

Justworks is the exception in this market: the prices are on the website. That makes it the easiest PEO to budget for and the easiest to misjudge, because the published fee is only part of the bill.

Short version: PEO Basic $79 per employee per month, PEO Plus $124, no base fee; health premiums are separate; two-person minimum. See how it compares →

How Justworks prices

Justworks publishes per-employee-per-month pricing with no base fee: PEO Basic at $79 and PEO Plus at $124 (2026 figures as summarized by independent guides of the Justworks pricing page). Plus adds access to medical, dental, and vision plans; premiums are separate and quoted for your group. Published add-ons include dedicated HR consulting at $30 per employee, time tracking at $8, and health reimbursement accounts at $25 per enrolled employee. The PEO requires a minimum of two individuals, and group health requires two eligible enrolled employees not from the same household. A separate payroll-only product ($50 base + $8 per employee) is not a PEO.

Inside the fee

Payroll and tax filings, compliance support, HR tools and the platform, 24/7 support, and — on Plus — access to the benefits plans.

Separate from the fee

Benefit premiums, payroll taxes, and the add-ons above. Workers’ comp is arranged through the platform; the premium is your cost.

Illustrative monthly fee

10 employees: $790 (Basic) or $1,240 (Plus). 25 employees: $1,975 or $3,100. Before premiums and add-ons.

What the price tells you

Justworks is built for small, mostly office-based teams. Its public price sets a useful floor for judging quotes from PEOs that don’t publish.

Who Justworks tends to fit

  • Small teams — roughly 2 to 50 — in professional, tech, or creative work
  • Companies that want transparent pricing and a self-serve platform over hands-on HR
  • Employers in major metros where its benefits network is strongest
  • Less likely to fit: high-risk or field workforces (construction, trucking, manufacturing), employers who want a named HR consultant without the add-on, and larger groups where quoted PEOs often come in lower per employee

Fit is our read from pricing structure and public positioning, not a review of Justworks’ service.

Ask these before you sign with Justworks — or anyone

  • Is the fee flat per employee or a percentage of payroll — and what happens to it when you give raises or add overtime?
  • What is the fee on employees 1–10 versus 50+? Most PEOs step the rate down with headcount; ask for the schedule.
  • What is the renewal cap? If the contract doesn’t limit year-two increases, assume there isn’t one.
  • Is workers’ comp on a master policy, and what class codes did they assume for your crews?
  • What are the exit terms — notice period, who owns the benefits plan year, and what it costs to leave mid-year?
  • What is billed outside the fee: implementation, state registrations, background checks, 401(k) administration?

How we price Justworks against the market

Because Justworks’ fee is public, the comparison is about the other 70% of the bill: what your group’s medical premiums come back at, what workers’ comp costs for your class codes, and whether a quoted PEO beats $79 or $124 at your headcount. Often it does above 30 employees; often it doesn’t below 15. What a PEO costs, in general →

Justworks is a trademark of its owner. My PEO Pros is an independent broker and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Justworks. Pricing facts are from Justworks’s public website or clearly labeled third-party estimates as of November 2026; your quote is the only number that counts.

Published pricing is a gift to the buyer. It is also a floor, not a total. The premiums are the bill; the fee is the tip.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Does Justworks publish its PEO pricing?

Yes. PEO Basic is $79 and PEO Plus is $124 per employee per month, with no base fee, per 2026 summaries of the Justworks pricing page. Health premiums are separate.

Is Justworks cheaper than other PEOs?

On the published administrative fee, often yes for small teams. On total cost including benefits and workers’ comp, it depends on your group — which is exactly what a side-by-side shows.

Does using a broker make Justworks cost more?

No. The PEO pays the broker fee out of a budget it already carries, and the fee is the same whichever PEO you choose. You get the same Justworks price — plus alternatives on identical assumptions.

Can you get me a Justworks quote?

Yes, and we run it next to the alternatives so you can see where it wins and where it doesn’t. Bring your census and current invoices; the comparison is free.
